West Bengal: TMC worker shot dead outside his house | Kolkata News – Times of India


KOLKATA: A 35-year-old TMC worker was shot dead on Tuesday outside his residence in Purani Tala, Bhatpara, located in West Bengal‘s North 24 Parganas district, according to police reports.
The incident occurred around 5 pm within the jurisdiction of the Jagaddal police station.
The victim, identified as Vicky Jadav, was attacked while outside his house. After being initially rushed to Bhatapara State General Hospital, he was later transferred to a private hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by the police.
Law enforcement has registered a case, and an active investigation is currently underway.According to a TMC leader in the area, three assailants targeted Jadav, firing nine rounds at close range. The identity of the shooters remains unknown, and the police are actively searching for them.
